How to best support Japan’s ageing population?

The Challenge of Holistic Care for the Elderly in Japan
Japan's ageing population presents significant challenges for providing care outside of hospitals. The design agency, Neuromagic, collaborated with Stby to research the use of IV drips by elderly patients in their homes and in nursing homes. The project was initiated by a hospital in Kawasaki, which had received funding to explore innovations in this field.
Field Research and Initial Analysis
Stby's role involved supporting and coaching the Neuromagic team with field research in Japan. This included home visits and an initial analysis and ideation workshop. The goal was to gain a deeper understanding of the needs of elderly patients receiving care in non-hospital settings.
